ClientWhys Announces the TaxBuzz Top 100 Tax Professionals of 2017

January 10, 2018

With big changes to federal, state and local tax laws, many taxpayers will seek help from experienced pros

NEWPORT BEACH, Jan 10, 2018 — ClientWhys, Inc., connecting taxpayers with top tax and accounting professionals via its TaxBuzz® service, today released their 3rd annual list of top tax professionals. The list includes 100 highly-rated independent accountants and tax professionals around the country.

“With all of the major changes in tax law, small business owners and individuals will need assistance from experienced tax professionals,” said Lee Reams II, CEO of ClientWhys. He continued, “The professionals on our list have demonstrated excellent service, experience and tax knowledge in earning glowing five-star reviews from their clients.”

Online reviews continue to be one of the most important criteria used to select products and services, including services from local professionals like accountants. A 2017 survey by BrightLocal showed that 97% of consumers used online reviews for local businesses and 85% trusted online reviews as much as personal recommendations.*

One of the professionals on the list, Katherine M. Bennett, CPA, noted, “In some cases, the tax laws are still being revised or interpreted, including at the state and local levels. Therefore, taxpayers should choose carefully when getting help. There may be a higher potential for mistakes using self-service software or hiring tax preparers who do not keep up with all the changes.”

Another professional who made the list, Kennith Daniel, EA, said, “Although many of the new federal and state tax changes will impact 2018 tax returns, there are still many considerations for 2017 returns. Taxpayers need qualified professionals to help them plan ahead, starting now.”

The TaxBuzz.com site includes an option called “MatchMe” which allows site visitors to provide information on the types of help needed, geographic location and other preferences. TaxBuzz then matches the taxpayer with highly-rated accountants and tax professionals based on its proprietary algorithm using factors such as review quality and quantity, TaxBuzz Verified status, services offered, industry specialties and more.

Inclusion in the TaxBuzz Top 100 list was based on several criteria including the number and quality of five-star reviews received during the 2017 calendar year. Professionals included on the list will have a unique badge added to their TaxBuzz profile demonstrating this honor.

“I’m thrilled to have been selected as one of the Top 100 TaxBuzz professionals,” said Jeffrey J. Quatrone, EA. He continued, “We have had many inquiries already from clients about the tax law changes and TaxBuzz has been very helpful connecting with and informing taxpayers. We expect the need for our services to grow significantly in the coming year.”
